Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 whole peppercorns
- 4 cardamom pods, crushed
- 1 clove
- 1 vanilla bean (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp dried ginger pieces
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- Honey, optional, to taste
Instructions
- Put all of the ingredients except the coconut milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn heat down to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until very fragrant.
- Stir in the coconut milk and sweeten with honey if desired.
